THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!

Wycombe Town FC progressed to the next round of the Combination Challenge Cup with a good win over a much improved and well organised Beaconsfield Legion team. Playing some slick passing football, Town dominated large parts of the game but Legion were dangerous on the break. One nil up with a goal from Ross Middleton, Legion defended resolutely and Town found it hard to break through a packed defence but it was Middleton again who added to his tally with another goal but Legion got a penalty late on to make it exciting.

Town played some great passing football to dominate the game but got lazy in the second half letting in two late goals. Billy Mason was on the scoresheet again getting two and Jonny Mason and Ross Middleton got one apiece. No game on the 14th November but back in Challenge Cup action on the 21st against Beaconsfield Legion at Holtspur.

Mr Martin Cyster who was a member of the High Wycombe Sunday Combination committee for over 30 years sadly passed away last week. Some of you will know him and remember all the good work he put into helping run the Combination league for in excess of 30 years. He was a good friend to Wycombe Town FC and even when he did retire from this committee you could still catch him down at Holtspur, Kingsmead, or the Rye watching all the teams and matches.
High Wycombe Sunday Combination Committee have asked that a minutes silence will be taken at all league/cup games involving teams from the Isaac Lords High Wycombe Sunday Combination this league this weekend.
