TOWN GO TOP!

Wycombe Town FC visited Premier Division leaders Barn Club and came away all 3 points to replace them at the top. In a real top of the table clash, 'Town' played some neat passing football against a very good Barn Club side but always had just the edge in a very good game. 'Boxer' Nicol scored the goal midway through the first half  ending a great team passing move. The Barn club goal had a charmed life on several occasions and they relied mainly on counter attackes but never really hit the target. 'Town' are now top of the division with a game in hand.

Wycombe Town Reserves visted the Old Swan in the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup and recorded a well deserved 2-1 with two great goals from James Hall, to progress to the next round.

TOWN HELD!

Wycombe Town FC first team drew 1-1 with high flying Barn Club in a match where Town dictated most of the play with some scintillating passing football with Barn Club relying on counter attacks. Town missed umpteen chances to win the match especially when a Barn Club player was dismissed with 15 minutes to go but the Barn Club keeper played heroics to keep the ball out of the net. 'Butch' Butcher scored Towns goal from the spot after 'Boxer' Nicol was brought down for a penalty in the first half.
The Reserves visited Seer Green FC and in an even game should have done better but lost 1-0.

TOWN BEAT PREMIER CHAMPIONS!

Traveling to Homer Green, Wycombe Town FC took on and beat current Premier League Champions Royal Standard FC. In a tight game with few clearcut chances, one deciceve moment in the first half made the difference, when Andy 'Boxer' Nicol was brought down on a good run at goal for a penalty, which 'Butch' Butcher stepped up to hammer home to make the final score 1-0. In a good all round team performance Jason DeGelas made made two brillant saves and 'Man of the Match' was Alan McKie was man of the match!
