In the second game, an on fire Reserve team fresh from their 5-0 win at Hithercroft, beat Red Lion Rangers 6-2 to to climb the table. Town went two up with goals from Wayne 'Rooney' Norris and James Hall and the score stayed the same till half time. Rangers got one back after the break but Town began to dominate and the score rose to 5-1 with another goal each from Rooney and Hall and a diving header own goal, Rangers got one more goal on a break but Rooney finished the game off with his hat trick to make it 6-2.

EXCITING GAMES AT HOLTSPUR!
Two exciting games at Holtspur, Firstly Wycombe Town first team were away to FC Beaconsfield in an end to end match, Town with three or four key players missing through injury, came under attack early on from a fast improving FC Beaconsfield team and half way through the first half were 2-0 down, Baz David slotted one in to make it 2-1 but Beaconsfield got another goal to make it 3-1 at half time. The second half was a role reversal and Town got two quick goals through Andrew 'Boxer' Nicol and Darren Crane to make it 3-3, towards the end of the match 'Boxer' rose above the defence to head a forth goal to make it 4-3, but the game wasn't over yet and Beaconsfield gained a dangerously positioned free kick in the last few minutes and in a full penatly area managed to get the ball in the net for a 4-4 draw.

Wycombe Town FC are away to FC Beaconsfield in the Premier League at Holtspur and Wycombe Town Reserves are also at Holtspur, being home to Red Lion Rangers.

TWO WINS FOR TOWN!
Two wins today for Wycombe Town FC, the first team played out an exciting match with a good FC Bentons team in the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup and the Reserves visited Hithercroft in a division two match. Still finding their feet Town kicked off and pressurised the Bentons defence but failed to hit the net, two quick break away goals saw Town two down against the run of play after thirty minutes! playing some good passing football Town fought back and went in at half time 3-2 in front. The second half Town began to dominate the play and Bentons were relying on counter attacks, Town got another goal to make it 4-2 but Bentons wern't finished and got one back. Town began to dominate again and deservidly scored two more to make the final score 6-3 and secure a place in round two. Scorers were Mike Butcher and Andy Nicol two each, Rikki Gilbert and Darren Crane one each.

Wycombe Town Reserves travelled over to Amersham to play Hithercrof FC and dominated the game playing some great football and scoring 5 goal without reply, this has propelled them well up the league table. Scorers were James Hall with three, Steve Perry and James Forbes with one each. James Hall

NEWS UPDATE!
Training continues at Wye Valley Astroturf on every Wednesday evening meeting at 7.20.This Sunday the reserves are away to Hithercroft at Amersham Towns groud in a Division 2 league match and The first team are at our Holtspur home against FC Bentons in the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup.
TOWN START THE SEASON WITH A WIN!
Wycombe Town first team started the season with a well deserved win against a good Happy Union side. With many new faces lining up for 'Town' it took the a while for the team to gel but then the football began to flow. the First half was end to end stuff and Union took advantage of this to go 1-0 in the first half with Town also missing a penalty! Second half was a differnt story with 'Town' beginning to dominate for long periods and Union relying on counter attacks. Darren Crane, Mark Nugent and Rikki Gilbert were creating the chances and 'Boxer' Nicol and 'Butch' Butcher were getting on target also hitting the post and bar. Eventualy Butch got a breakthrough goal to leval the score and shortly after an Ali Nicol shot was deflected by Darren Crane to make the final score 2-1 to take Town to third in the table!

Wycombe Towns Premier League campaign kicks off this Sunday at Holtspur against visitors Happy Union FC. With several new faces in the 'Town' line up it should be a very interesting encounter for players and supporters alike.

THE SEASON STARTS!!!
Wycombe Town Reserves kicked off their season with a game against league newcomers Jager Athletic FC. In only their second game together this season 'Town' played some good football but in an even half the young and fit Jager team went 1-0 up just before the break. Second half and Jagers fitness began to tell and they got another goal from the penalty spot. Town bounced back with a goal from Wayne 'Rooney' Norris but Jager scored another by lobbing the keeper to make it 3-1. Town wernt finished and got one back through a well executed penalty from Joe Corley making the final score 3-2.
