'TOWN' WIN CHESHAM CHARITY CUP!

Wycombe Town FC became Champions again last night when they defeated Eldorado Diamonds 2-1 to win the Chesham Charity Cup. In a game where 'Town' dominated large periods of the game but failed to take their chances, it was left to 'Boxer' Nicol to step up and score a penalty on the stroke of half time and for 'Town' to go in 1-0 up. It was much of the same in the second half and 'Town' went 2-0 up when Paul Shone scored with a flying header which left him in the back of the net with the ball! An uncharacteristic mistake at the back let 'Eldorados' in to make the score 2-1 but 'Town' played out time in 'Eldorados' half to take a deserved win and the cup.
