Wycombe Town Reserves 6 – 2 Seer Green (Chesham)

Wycombe Town Reserves progressed to the Quarter Finals of the Sunday Junior Berks & Bucks Cup with a 6-2 win over Seer Green from Chesham. It was Town who started brighter creating the first of many chances, with Ben Chadbone and Lee Watson linking well up front capitalising on some flowing football from the Town midfield. Paul Storey opened the scoring with a well executed header from a Scott Webb corner. Martin Corr extended the lead, with superb control and volley on the edge of the Seer Green penalty box. At Half time Town were 4-1 up playing some of their best football of the season. The second half saw changes from Seer Green who capitalised on some pressure during a quieter spell from Town and scored with a long throw and goal mouth scramble. Town immediately hit back to maintain their 3 goal advantage with a goal from Watson and the Town defence continued to soak up anything Seer Green had to offer. As Town maintained their strong hold on the game, Middleton, Webb and Kelleher continued to keep the ball away from Seer Green with a fine passing game, before Watson provided the killer 6th goal to end any chance of a comeback.

BITTER SWEET WEEKEND!!!

A disappointing result for the first team in the FA National Sunday Cup, in a tight encounter where Town started well with an early goal, it was 2-2 at half time, Town dominated large parts of the game but missed several golden chances but were still 3-2 up with 30 seconds to go in normal time but then let in a late equliaser which forced extra time, finishing stronger, Lebeq Tavern scored two goal to win 5-3. Towns scorers were Paul Shone, 'Boxer Nicol' and Lee Thompson.
On a more positive note and with an excellent result, Wycombe Town Reserves won 2-0 at Thame S&C FC to claim a place in the Challenge Cup Semi-final, Town scorers were Ben Chadbone and Steve Perry.
Wycombe Town 'A' team lost away 2-0 to longwick in div 3.
