Wycombe Town finally found their winning ways and beat FC Beacons Bottom 6-1 away, in round two, of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup. Playing with pace and neat passing Town dominated the first half and went in at the break 3-1 up. The second half started badly for Town when Ross Middleton was dismissed for a second yellow but Towns ten men matched Beacons Bottom and went on to win 6-1. Billy Mason scored three, Jonny Mason, Mark Nugent and Scott Webb scored one each.
Wycombe Town FC played away to table topping Barn Club last Sunday and were robbed of victory by a 92 minute penalty to make the final score 1-1. Town played some great passing football and deserved their half time 1-0 scoreline spectacularly converted by Scott Webb. The first half was mainly even with both teams wasting chances but the second half Town held firm and should have converted several goal chances. The centre half pairing of Paul Shone and Vinny Cuva were outstanding at the back and Jonny Mason and Ross Middleton dominated the midfield with Scott Webb and Mark Nugent causing all sorts of problems for the Barn Club defence. A good all round performance which should lift Town up the table.
