TOWN INTO THE FINAL!

Barn Club FC 0 v Wycombe Town FC 2
Wycombe Town FC won a hard fought game to make it through to the leagues 'Issac Lord Challenge Cup Final' at Adams Park, home to Wycombe Wanderers, where they will meet Masters FC. Playing on a warm sunny afternoon on a tricky pitch, making the ball hard to control, the sides were evenly matched in the first half with both sides missing goal scoring opportunities and Town even missed a penalty. The second half was a different story and 'Town' dominated large parts of the game and scored a goal early on through Chris Paget who fired home to make the score 1-0, Town kept up the pressure dominating the play, forcing Barn club to defend but missed several goal opportunities making the Barn Club keeper work hard, with 20 minutes to go 'man of the match' Chris Paget scored his second goal of the match to send 'Town' through to a well deserved final.

'TOWN' THROUGH!

Magpies 91 FC 2 v Wycombe Town FC 8'Town' traveled to Amersham to play Magpies 91 in the Chesham Charity Cup and came away with a well deserved win and a place in the next round. On a difficult slopping and sticky pitch, 'Town' soon found their feet and went 1-0 in the first 10 minutes when captain Darren Crane slotted the ball home. Making a welcome return after an extented injury Rikki Gilbert who was causing the 'Magpie' defence all sorts of problems popped up to score and make it 2-0 at half time. After the break, 'Town' really started to play well and dominate the game, Andy 'Boxer' Nicol scored three, Micheal Butcher scored one, Darren Crane got his second and finally Tom James-Peddle got the final goal to make the score 8-2. Credit must go to the rock solid defence with Alan McKie, Ali Nicol, Tyron Francis and Ian Baker, who kept the ball well away from 'stand in' keeper Vinny Cuva. Chris paget and Andy Barnes were outstanding in the middle of the park and substitues Delroy Howell, Jason Douglas and Tom James-Peddle helped keep up the pressure untill the final whistle.

TWO ON TOP!

FC Beacons Bottom 1 v Wycombe Town FC 3Micheal 'Butch' Butcher scored a hatrick in 'Towns' first league game for two months. Playing an improving Beacons Bottom side, 'Town' went in at half time 2-1 up after a frustrating first half but dominated the second half with attacking football but could only score one more goal, being thwarted by a resilient 'Beacons' defence, but it was enough to maintain 'Towns' top spot in the Premier Division!

Wycombe Town Res. 1 v Naphill Mens FC 1
'Town' Reserves also maintained their top spot in division 2 after a 1-1 draw with Naphill Mens FC, in a close game where 'Town' never really found their form, Alex McLay scored 'Towns' only goal with a great header.
