'TOWN' IN FINAL!
Wycombe Town Youth met Chinnor Blues Youth in the Subsidiery Cup Final at Flackwell Heath FC, Chinnor went into the match as a form team. The first half was fiercely contested with Chinnor going ahead early, giving 'Town' a wake up call, which lead to a wave of attacks leading to a corner, with Tom Cleaves
playing a low ball in to the near post, fed back out and playing in to Marvin Taylor who fired in from just inside the box. The half finished 1-1. The second half followed the same path with Chinnor pressing early and
... eventually scoring, then 'Town' went on the attack and just could not seem to score after several decent chances. After switching to 3 at the back we got exposed leading to Chinnor's third goal in the 90th minute, winning 3-1 on the day.

POINTLESS !
Wycombe Town FC traveled to Bisham Abbey to play high flying Hare & Hounds on Sunday in a Premier division game and came away pointless! With key players missing including the keeper, this was always going to be a difficult game. 'Town' actualy played the better football throughout the match passing the ball around well but did not finish well enough but Hare and Hounds on the other hand, were playing the more direct long ball game and made more of their chances. The score finished 7-3 with 'Town's' 'MOM' Mike Morrisey, Barry Miles and James Hall finding the net for 'Town'.

'POINTS FOR TOWN!'
Wycombe Town FC entertained King George V at our Holtspur home on Sunday and collected all three points.
'Town' started well and pressurised 'George' from the kick off. After mastering the bumpy pitch 'Town' passed the ball well and had several near misses on the 'George' goal before Barry Miles followed up a neat move to slot the ball in the net. The 'George' attacks on goal were well covered by the 'Town' defence who were building from the back and another attack saw Miles get his second to make it 2-0 at half time.
'Town' soon continued in the same vein in the second half and playing better football as the game progressed, they set up two more cracking goals finished off with powerful volleys past the keeper from Mike Morrisey and then Micheal Butcher to wrap the game up 4-0 and take all three points.

FC Beaconsfield 1 v Wycombe Town FC 2
Away to FC Beaconsfield in the Premier Division, Wycombe Town picked up another valuable three points with an excellent teamwork display winning 2-1. ‘Town’ dominated the first half playing some great passing football and restricted Beaconsfield to random counter attacks. The first goal came from a corner which Beaconsfield failed to clear and 'man of the match' Gary Cook was on hand to put the ball in the net to make the score 1-0 at half time. The second half saw Beaconsfield get more into the game but the 'Town' defence held good and after a direct passing move up the pitch Michael Butcher was there to drive the ball into the net to make it 2-0. ‘Town’ held steady and even scored a third goal which unfortunately was an own goal, making the final score a very deserved 2-1 win.

WIN FOR 'TOWN' !
In wet, windy, miserably cold and muddy conditions, ‘Town’
visited Ferny Fields at Booker to play King George V in a Premier division
game. Kicking into the wind, ‘Town’ went on the attack restricting ‘King George’
to random counter attacks which the ‘Town’ defence handled well. After
pressurising the ‘King George’ defence ‘Town’ got a break which James Hall
capitalised on and slotted the ball into the net to make the score 1-0 at half
time. Amazingly able to play some passing football in the bad conditions,
‘Town’ found themselves 3-0 up after Allison Batista drove the ball into the
net and then Michael Butcher neatly chipped the keeper. ‘Town’ then let the
lead slip with two soft goals and a superb shot and the score was even at 3-3. Making
two late substitutions ‘Town’ went for the winner and pressurised the ‘King
George’ goal mouth and substitute Craig Mant in only his second outing after
injury in 10 months, latched on to a great through ball from Batista and drove
the ball home, for ‘Town’ to claim all three points winning 4-3.
New Blue White and Brown kit!!!

'TOWN' YOUTH WIN 5-2!
Wycombe Town FC Youth 5 v Taplow United Youth 2
With Wycombe Town FC without a game this week our Youth team took the headlines. ‘Town’ attacked straight from the kick off and dominated play which eventually led to a great move with Dan Mason threading the ball to Marvin Taylor to score, this was shortly followed by another from Taylor and 2 from Khalil Hogan who’s pace was a threat all match. Taplow then got a well taken goal from a rare breakaway; the first half finished 4-1 and could have been much more. The second half was more even; Taplow became a bit more physical and tried to break up the ‘Town’ play, this allowed them to get some good possession and eventually to score making it 4-2. This spurred ‘Town’ to put in a massive effort and with a more open game both teams had chances but Taylor struck and finally got his hat trick and settled the match beyond doubt, giving ‘Town’ a well deserved 5-2 win.
