SUNDAY 8th MARCH

  • Wycombe Town beat Beaconsfield Legion 6-0 to progress through to the quarter finals of the Combination Cup to meet FC Beconsfield at Holtspur. (full report to follow)
  • Wycombe Town Reserves beat Star & Crescent 3-1 to keep up pressure on Queens Head Rangers at the top of Division One. (full report to follow)

SUNDAY 1st MARCH 2009

  • Wycombe Town defeated a spirited FC Disraeli team 4-2 to now meet Beaconsfield Legion in the HWSFC Challenge Cup. Cruising at 3-0 up Town took their foot off the gas and Disraeli came back to 3-2 but Town got the forth goal to seal the win.
  • Wycombe Town Reserves disappointingly went out to Eldorado FC 3-0 in the Chesham Cup, short of key players Town really did not get into the game.
  • Wycombe Town 'A' made a great come back from 2-0 down playing away to Cross Keys to draw 2-2 in their bid to climb the table.

Boxer Scores, Town Celebrate!

  • Wycombe Towns run in the FA National Sunday Cup came to an end on Sunday when they went out 5-4 on penalities to Lakeside Athletic FC after extra time finished 1-1. (Full report to follow).

    Wycombe Town Reserves beat Beaconsfield Legion 3-0 in Division 1 at Holtspur, Town sowed up the game in the first half with three goals from Lee Watson, Ross Middleton and Scott Webb. In the second half Beacobnsfield Legion held on well and could have got back into the game but Town hung on.

BERKS & BUCKS INTERMEDIATE CUP

With the welcome return of Mark Nugent and Andy Nicol, Wycombe Town cruised through to the next round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup with a 5-2 win over FC Beaconsfield, who are currently sitting ontop of the Premier Division. In freezing conditions and on a hard pitch Wycombe played some great passing football in the difficult conditions and playing with the strong wind, went into a 3-1 lead by half time. Early in the second half, Wycombe then scored another goal to take it to 4-1 but FC Beaconsfield now playing with the wind, scored with a powerful drive to make it 4-2 but a penalty for Wycombe completed the score at 5-2. Wycombe's scoreres were Chris Ayres, Andy Nicol, Mark Nugent,Vinny Cuva and Billy Mason.
Wycombe Town are now away to AFC Donsville in the B&B Intermediate Cup this weekend 8th February.
