CUP UP'S AND DOWN'S!
This Sunday the 8th January, Wycombe Town FC travelled to Old Amersham to play Magpies 91 FC in the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup. The game started well for 'Town' and they put pressure on Magpies from the start, most of the game was played in the Magpies half with them attacking mainly on the break. 'Town' went two up in the first half with well taken goals by Delroy Howell and Andy 'Boxer' Nicol, the second half continued as the first with 'Town' dominating the play with neat passing football and scoring two more well deserved goals through Paul Shone and Vinny Cuva but midway through the second half, keeper Jason DeGelas took a boot in the face and had to go off for stiches. Micheal Butcher put on the gloves and went in goal for the last twenty minutes to retain the clean sheet and for 'Town' progress to the last eight!
'Town' Reserves travelled to Seer Green FC in the Berks and Bucks Junior Cup and disapointingly lost 3-2. Going 3-0 down early on, 'Town' forced their way back into the game with two well taken goals and were well on top in the later stages of the game but could could not find the goals to even up the tie!

SUNDAY 11th DECEMBER
Wycombe Town entertained King George 5th FC, at Holtspur, in the Premier Division and in an end to end game, Town were held to a 1-1 draw but should have wrapped up the game on several occasions, with several missed chances. Micheal Butcher was once again on hand to get the 'Town' goal.
The Reserves continued their winning ways and were away to Jager Athletic at Lane End and came away with all three points, putting them in second place in Division 2. Scorers were James Hall with 2, Steve Perry and Blake George with 1 each.
With no game for the First team on the 18th December and the Reserve game postponed, both teams are looking good for the Christmas break and for the New Year.

'TOWN' THROUGH TO THE LAST EIGHT!
Wycombe Town FC visited Royal Standard FC...the current Premier Division Champions, at Homer Green, in the Challenge Cup and after a great end to end game, came away with the win and a place in the next round! Playing on a sticky pitch 'Town's' passing game got bogged down and they had to dig in and grind out this deserved vitory. 'Hero of the moment' was substitute and Manager Micheal 'Butch' Butcher, who came off the bench to score in the 88th minute and seal the victory. Key to the win was the rock solid defence who kept everything out, including a great full stretch tip over the bar by keeper Jason DeGelas and the man who seemed to be everywhere MOTM Vinny Cuva.
